TENTH AVENUE NORTH CELEBRATES
SUCCESSFUL “2013 TENTH AVENUE NORTH CLASSIC”

Celebrity Golf Tournament Co-Hosted by
PGA Tour Professional Kevin Streelman

Event Raises More Than $100,000 for Christ-Centered Ministries

(Nashville, Tenn.) September 4, 2013—Tenth Avenue North celebrates the success of its first annual celebrity golf tournament, the “Tenth Avenue North Classic,” held this year on Aug. 12, 2013 at Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh, N.C. The event, which brought together professional athletes and musicians alike, raised more than $100,000 for various Christ-centered ministries.

Inspired by Christ’s command in Acts 1:8 to be witnesses locally, nationally and internationally, the “Tenth Avenue North Classic” supports organizations that promote the Gospel in their cities, countries, and around the world. Consequently, this year’s beneficiaries are high school outreach Cru RDU, College Golf Fellowship and Compassion International.

Featured players included six-time PGA Tour winner Stewart Cink, PGA Tour winner Kevin Streelman, who co-hosted the tournament, two-time PGA Tour winner Scott Stallings, two-time Super Bowl champion Antwan Harris and NASCAR drivers Blake Koch and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Also participating was five-time GRAMMY Award winner tobyMac as well as members from NeedtoBreathe and Stellar Kart.

Tenth Avenue North’s Jason Jamison comments, “I am blown away by the amount of people who came out to support this golf tournament and these non-profit organizations. We set a goal that was only attainable if God moved people to give of their time and money. So I praise God for moving and thank everyone who was willing to give and help us reach that goal. And come on, we had an awesome time!”

“The guys in Tenth Avenue North never cease to amaze us in the ways they give to children living in poverty,” says Senior Vice President of Compassion USA, Mark Hanlon. “Compassion is proud of them. Proud that they hosted their first successful golf classic and proud to call them family. The money they raised on Compassion’s behalf will go a long way toward the children we serve. Simply put, we couldn’t be more pleased to call them ‘partners!’”

Tenth Avenue North will continue to be highly visible this fall, with its newest single, “The Struggle,” now impacting radio. In honor of the one year anniversary of its latest album release, The Struggle (8/21/12) will also be available at iTunes for $7.99 until Sept. 10. Additionally, fans can see the band live on “The Winter Jam 2013 Tour” Spectacular kicking off early November. Visit www.jamtour.com for a complete list of tour dates.

About Cru RDU:
Cru RDU exists to help high school students develop as spiritual leaders and see their campus as the place God has them to be a part of the Great Commission. Through our partnership with local churches and the college part of Cru, we equip volunteers to develop relationships with high school students and model for them how to live the Christian life. Through our emphasis on prayer and the Spirit-filled life, students learn how to take steps of faith and trust God to use them to leave a legacy on their campus. They live out their faith in their daily lives, taking the initiative to share the Gospel in their natural spheres of influence.
