JARS OF CLAY REACHES 15 CAREER DOVE AWARDS

Band receives Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year along with Recorded Music Packaging for ëThe Long Fall Back to Earthí

(Nashville, Tenn.) April 22, 2010 - Jars of Clay continued their winning ways at the Dove awards last night, picking up their 14th and 15th trophies since scoring their first, New Artist of the Year, back in 1996.

The band won one award for the Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year for their latest album The Long Fall Back To Earth as well as an award for the albumís Recorded Music Packaging, designed in partnership with Provident's own Tim Parker.

ìItís a big grace to us. At the end of the day, itís an award,î Jars of Clayís Charlie Lowell said backstage. ìBut weíre humbled by it."

ìThereís a sense of gratefulness that 16 years in, we love what we do still, we care about each other and thereís other people out there who care about what weíre doing,î Lowell added.
The band joined forces tonight with their label-mate Brandon Heath to perform Jars' hit single "Two Hands."

ABOUT JARS OF CLAY:

Jars of Clay has sold more than six million albums, won three GRAMMYS, headlined thousands of sold-out shows and festivals, and successfully launched the Blood:Water Mission, a non-profit organization promoting clean blood and
water in Africa. Since the bandís debut single, ìFlood,î astonishingly topped both the mainstream and CCM charts, Jars of Clay has built an extraordinary career based on the uncompromising integrity of its music, worldview, and humanitarianism.

But the members of Jars of Clay ñ Dan Haseltine (vocals), Charlie Lowell (keyboards), Steve Mason (guitars), and Matt Odmark (guitars) -- have never been comfortable resting on their past achievements, choosing instead to constantly challenge themselves and each other to grow and evolve as musicians, as songwriters, and as a band.

ABOUT ìTHE LONG FALL BACK TO EARTHî:

The album of shimmering, state-of-the-art pop thatís as sonically adventurous as it is sly and soulful: The ìLong Fall Back To Earth.î

According to Charlie Lowell, ìThe Long Fall Back To Earthî picks up where ìGood Monstersî left off:

ìíGood Monstersí was in many ways a view of humanity from 40,000 feet above the Earth. During that season, we were learning about what it means to live in community, rather than in isolation. And one of the things weíve learned is that our spirituality is our relationships -- our day-to-day, up-close-and-personal, skin-to-skin relationships.î
